And Human Died…

unigundem-micheal jackson - and hman diedMichael Jackson died on 25th June; but why, as all the popular man, as increasing his popularity? Why the murder of Münevver Karabulut is still at our agenda? Are the prayings after the death innocent ?

 AN UNFORTUNATE LINE

The death is a concept that seperate living (existence) and not living(non-existence), besides it is an unifying concept as all the seperating lines.

The death of Michael Jackson , one of the most sensational death of late and the one that preserving its importance, and the other populars, effect and bring together not only their close relatives and friends but also many people globally. The death points out its homogeneity including distinction and unity. It is almost cosmic dance of existence and non-evistence ironically. The desire of being existente of the dead bodies  obstinately. The wrapping of saddnes of death and the happiness of living… It exists up to echoing the question of  “will we die also?” in our minds  when we see a death, and being meaningless of this harsh echo with the echo of existence and eventually not feeling; then the starting of the same blankness  again with the other death…

THE BLESSED IN THE LIGHT

Although the death/dead is far away from –ism, the “living things” behind them are not so. The -secular(!)- prayings as “lie in the lights”  to Turkan Saylan with the opposite of the traditional and “religious” praying as “God blessed him/her!” shows that ideological playing on words are so alive. Also it is so obvious that it is worthless to say “ligted” rather than “blessed”, and it is derivation and consumption of ideology.

DOES THE DEATH GLORIFY?/ IS THE DEAD GLORIFIED?

It is strange many people’s getting mythical characters after they called dead who has not importance while he/she is living. Although the death is seen as “unknown” in consideration of post-modern man, the emotions behave different, the people, whose value can not be seen as they are alive, become the  adressee to the sayings “he was good man” of death-lovers and  the testimonies as “we knowed him as a good man” while lying as dead. The “death-lovers” doesn’t mean Eric Fromm’s getting pleasure from metal things or to love death sexually. But an emotion of forgiveness coming from seperation and non-ability to see again evaluates the death as an superior human being with  “abracadabra”.

Cem Garipğolu’s, the murderer of Münevver Karabulut, not being finded, and the mistakes of medical jurisprudence, Michael Jackson’s funeral, his properties, his burial, the form of his death’s keeping us busy shows refering loss of value to the death not to dead, to the type of becoming not the event itself, to the “wyh” and “how” of the existent.

“The thing which doesn’t kill me makes me stronger*” said Nietzche. He had not known that the thing which makes him stronger is the one which kils him not the one that doesn’t kill him. Because he was one of them who are ”ba’s-ü bad-el mevt*”. And you?

* When Nietzche Wept/ Irvın Yalom

*It means the revival after death, symbolizes the writers that can not address his own time and whose values are understood after they die.(Bu Ülke/ Cemil Meriç)
